Plug those Leaks Lake in Your Area Battle!

Ducks are no match for a Hawk which has the ability matched by a Peregrine Falcon who can use their agility to attack and inflict injuries in regards to a duck.

For this Bi-District conquest these Ducks never made it to The Lake in time for safety after a blistering wipe-out in this Bi-District game, 63-19.

This win was so thorough these Ducks became daffy.

Even tho there was a wake-up moment to start this contest when Taylor took their second play to the house on a 74 pass play that had CLake looking at a 6 point deficit 37 seconds into this battle.

That, however, would be one of a few highlights these ducks would be able to enjoy when these Hawks devoured Taylor by scoring on all of their possessions up until the last drive that came up short which had Punter Jace Wheeler getting off a 41 yarder. Wheeler averages 41 yards on his 30 punts this season.

          Beat Calallen in Area Hawks!

While Defensively it was two interceptions and a fumble recovery, while holding Taylor with no points and 159 yards in their second half after these Ducks had accumulated 300 first half yardage. Add a run defense that was a Trump Border Wall holding this opponent to 156 yards leaving this vulnerable Ducks to flying led by Eli (double digit tackles) Hammons and a host of other Defensive Hawks to help lead this carnage.

Chris Brown first rush went for 41 untouched yards forged by an offensive line that controlled this contest from the opening play. A flag football game would have been the same result.

Brown joined Tanner Faris, Tristan Chacon and Hayden Dubois who reached 4 touchdowns in a game and fell short of Jesse Horner (5) and Carter Williams (6) who reached that all-time mark in a Veterans Memorial game last year.

                            Way to GO LAKE!

Canyon Lake averaged over 7 yards per rushing attempt while CLake’s passing was just a smidgen off perfection completing 13 of the 15 passes for 220 yards.

Wheeler also showcased his feet after an 11 yarder for The Lake’s first score and finished with 31 hard ground yardage.

During that first half drives, The Lake longest scoring drive was 6 plays which was highlighted after Taylor scored that had these Ducks trailing, 21-12 early in that second period.

CL would take 5 plays using a 27 yard reception for Peyton King followed with a 13 yard pass play to Kobe Halverson that led to a 2 yard up the middle score for Brown, 28-12.

Ending that first half, Canyon Lake had an explosive drive to answer Taylor’s final score of the game with 1:33 left on the halftime clock.

Starting on CL’s 28 yard line the dismantling went thusly:

Play:
1) Hayes Holladay 14 yard run.
2) Chris Brown 19 yard run.
3) Hayes Holladay 14 yard reception.
4) Chris Brown 24 yard run.
5) Chris Brown 1 yard touchdown.

The Hawks went to their locker room sporting a, 42-19 lead and receiving the second half kick-off.

This 2nd Half opened with a ground out time consuming drive that featured a 13 play 72 yards and stick a fork in’em, 49-19 advantage.

Canyon Lake matched last year’s Bi-District game with Austin Travis with the same exact score.
