Head Coach Sam Parker shares his comments on each of the 1st Team Hawk players below.

                                 GO LAKE!

Cayden Toon Offensive Line- “Proved over and over again how good of a player he was. He came in as a good player as a Junior and came on as a Senior…he was phenomenal for us.

The Coaches here before me talked about the transformation he came through from his Freshman year to his Senior year and what an amazing athlete and player he had become and truly it came through his own work and he was one of those kids who is going to have a chance to go and play at the next level.”

Dalton Hodges Defensive Line Unanimous- “I cannot say enough bout Dalton…a huge leader for our team and he was also selected to play in San Antonio All-Star Game as a deep snapper. Dalton has been an unbelievable young man and is a little bit special for me because is Dad (Bret Hodges)coaches for us and my Dad was a Coach.”

Go Hawks & Congrats of Special Season!

Eli Hammons Linebacker Unanimous- “Not enough words to describe what he has become with his hard work and perseverance… He was given some natural tools and he was a hard worker and as a first team inside linebacker.

He just had a phenomenal year and another one of those athletes that will have a chance to play at the next level.”

Gram Simpson Running Back- “He was a 2nd Team All-District last year as a wide receiver and he was a player that did not get to touch the ball a lot as a receiver and was mainly a blocking receiver….but with some injuries we had to move him to running back and he did amazing. He was solid and for not being very big ran the ball hard and I could not be as proud for him.”

                       Congrats Lake Football

Jace Wheeler Quarterback: “Jace threw for for 2800 yards and 27 touchdowns and was 2nd Team All-District last year.

He is one of those rare quarterbacks you don’t always get a chance to coach and he is special and his arm strength and ability to put the ball where he wants it as good as I have ever seen.”

JR Lindell Outside Linebacker- “As a Junior he was a little all over the place…he was a receiver for a little bit and then some defense at the end of the year but he really found a home after the season ended last year as an outside linebacker. And just had a phenomenal year…I have praise for the work he put into the off season and just worked his tail off and put on some weight and got faster and had a super special year.”

Peyton King Receiver- “Coming off of last year as a Sophomore he had some meaningful snaps but this year he became our primetime guy and just ate it up…he had huge stats and numbers he finished with the second most receptions in Hawk history for a season and will end up being our all-time receiver when he is finished.”
