Last week @ The Lake had a lot of happenings with Ladies Basketball ending the season while the Boys Basketball will be playing their final contest Tuesday in Bandera.
The injury ‘BUG’ (Camel Spider) hit this year’s boy’s round ball with over 60 games lost due to injuries which had a big role in seeing this team getting crushed by a Coconut Crab.
Ladies Soccer got back on track with two wins and a game Tuesday against Davenport will complete the first round of games. The Billies will be at the Hawk Nest this Friday as the 4th/7th ranked Hawks keep sights on a possible district title.
Softball started this year with a young team that has a slew of Freshman/Sophomores penciled in all through the line-up.
Baseball will debut tonight on the road in Devine where The Lake will look to win their 8th straight opening season contest. A Sinton tournament will end the week for this baseball crew.
Track & Field will host the Hawk Relays on Thursday as there were a lot of bright spots for both Boys & Ladies with several athletes making their mark in entering the All-Time Top-Ten list.
Which is an important aspect for this sport that relies on being at your best when the district meet comes calling to make a trail for Austin at the UIL State Meet.
The ladies are picked by the San Antonio Newspaper at their favorite to win their second district title. That feat has never happened in any sport for The Lake where there was a back-to-back accomplishment of that magnitude.
It looked much like those two bugs mentioned above. Let’s Go, Camel Spider & Coconut Crab!
& Let’s Go Lake!
