Canyon Lake had a good week in their sport’s venue as CL’s JV football team was one of the only loses and that was a game where the game went to the last play with the Hawks knocking on the door inside the 5 yard line.

The Hawks Football teams will try and build on those wins against Wimberley and Bag a Badger this Thursday and Friday.

Those young players are growing up with each passing (running) game and the excitement will surely match as Canyon Lake would like to have a 2 game winning streak going into their bye week before the Liberty Hill Panthers pay a visit.

On the Volleyball side of the coin, the Hawks have a HUGE Game this Tuesday in Navarro and a win on that night would catapult the Hawks into first place all alone in District 26-4A play.

The Hawk’s Volleyball Varsity is presently on a 10 game winning streak which is tied for the best in school history shared with last year’s team.

The ReSporter would like to see as many Hawk faithful in Navarro this Tuesday and thinks it would be a hoot if we could have a larger crowd and drown out the Panthers with our POINT Hawks chant as we put a hurt on those purple people.

Get their early and watch our Freshman and Junior Varsity too as the pipeline is being primed for a tradition rich teams year in and year out.

Let’s Green out the Gym and help the Hawks with a home gym advantage just 34 miles from our digs.

Canyon Lake will have Cuero at home this Friday and if yoiu cannot make it to Lampasas for the football game, then come and see this Volleyball team take it to the Gobblers.

Fun times at Canyon Lake as the water is rising for a good finish to the Fall Sports.
