===============================================
A lot has happened since last week as both the Boy and Girl Soccer teams are playoff bound.
The Hawk Ladies first game has been set but we are still waiting for the place and time for the Hawk Boys.
Canyon Lake’s Boys Soccer actually started their first round of games last week as they needed a win in order to make the playoffs. That game was a win or go home affair and beating Wimberley made that victory a sweet taste indeed.
CL’s Girls will be embarking on their 4th time of playing those fun after season games. Last year, Canyon Lake almost pulled out an upset but it was not to be. That experience will serve this group well as being one year older should help for that opening to not have as many jitters.
Taylor played a common opponent in Fredericksburg and both of these schools lost but played a close game with the Billies.
Golf will start their 2 day in 2 weeks District 26-4A Tournament this Monday and these young teams will see what type of damage they might be able to inflict this year in a quest for going on.
Round 2 will be April 4th at the same location, giving plenty of time for the players to work on their skills to go further.
As far as the Softball and Baseball teams they will have an off day this Tuesday and then this Friday the Softball team will start the 2nd round of games while the Baseball team will still have more games before the halfway mark.
Both teams are still working on getting that first win this district season and that possibility will be realized this Friday when Yoakum comes calling.
Track & Field had another successful week, The ReSporter is still waiting for the results from last week’s Texan’s Relays, but based on all of those smiles seen after events then there was either a 1st or 2nd place for Canyon Lake.
As soon at those results are reported, the ReSporter, will get that info in publication.
This week the Track & Field Hawks will trek over to Dripping Springs to get some other school competition before District comes calling.
The Boys will be off to Austin for the Texas Relays in the 4×200 and 4×400 meter relays.
