Canyon Lake will have a break this week as they will travel to Marion on Tuesday for their only game.

If you say that you have not seen Canyon Lake play yet, then that could be that your Hawks are Road Hawks this season as the next home game will be on Tuesday September the 13th against Austin Akins. That is a month and a half since they started the season.

The Hawks had a successful week finishing with a 6-2 record and sport a 4 game winning streak as of this writing.

District 28-4A seems to be settling in as you have several games to start forming opinions on the toughness of the schools.

Fredericksburg has played a lot of larger and tough teams for their losing record and that could be misleading as these final weeks start to get closer to the start of district games.

Boerne is 1/2 game behind while Bandera has a tough week coming up with a tournament at Buda Hays.

Coach Kim Paisley likes to have a routine as this time of year starts to gear up and that will be the case as the team will now go into playing 2 times a week at the same time for those Tuesday and Friday matches.

This Hawk team has the tools to be in good position as District come calling but for this one contest for this week, Canyon Lake can work on their game plans as there will be plenty of tough schools on the schedule before opening district with Boerne.
