Canyon Lake had an up and down week as the Volleyball team finished 1-1 while Football had the Sub-Varsity win and
Varsity losing their first game in this young season.
For Volleyball the Hawk Nation will have an opportunity to see something that has not been around since Haley’s Comet. A home game this Tuesday when Austin Akins visits the Hawk Nest.
CL played a 3 team round robin on their opening day of this season and then had their bus tires checked for taking a road trip for 36 days between that last home game.
The Hawks had a 15-7 record on the road which will hopefully take care of any butterflies when the important district slate begins.
CL’s first district game will spike off on September 27th when Boerne starts the round robin schedule.
Come out and introduce yourself to this year’s Hawk Volleyball team as they will look forward to defending their district crown that was achieved a year ago.
Canyon Lake Team Tennis will be a new adventure as the Hawks will commence their first season at home this Thursday and Saturday, playing Boerne and Bandera consecutively. This should be fun and a new adventure for the Hawks.
Football will have a rival game when the Hawks travel the Devil’s Back-Bone to the Texan’s stadium and try to win their first game on the road in this series.
The Hawks have won 2 of their last 3 games with Wimberley and a win on Friday will keep the Back-Bone Trophy in its rightful home, in the Halls of the Hawk Nation.
Both Sub-Varsity squads are undefeated and will look to continue that no loss goal as they plow through this year’s contests.
The Canyon Lake Broadcasting crew will be airing the Junior Varsity and Varsity games this week so if getting to the game is unattainable then a quick visit to this Web-Site and you can listen to the Hawks and not miss any action.
Go Hawks!!
