                   ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Hawk’s Volleyball team had a rebound with two wins this past week as there will be just one game this week.

That game will be on the road against another ranked team in La Vernia.

Don Chente says Way to Go Hawks!!

“Tuesday and Friday night matches were solid,” Head Coach Kim Paisley recalled. “Even though they both went four sets. I strongly felt, that in the Wimberley match, we displayed a very strong volleyball skill set.”

Coach Paisley continued, “We looked strong, together, and didn’t skip a beat! We need this as we head into district. I look forward to LaVernia on Tuesday as this will be a great opponent to compete against as we close out our preseason.”

Canyon Lake will open at home a week from this Tuesday when Boerne comes calling to start District 28-4A competition.

The Hawk’s football team had a rough game in Giddings last week after the Buffaloes beat the CL in a hard fought football game.

Canyon Lake will welcome our friends from Wimberley this week’s  Battle of the Backbone will commence this Friday as well as welcoming former student’s for a homecoming week-end.

Wimberley has not lost as they have continued to have strong showing with their 3 wins this season.

The Texans’ beat Giddings, 45-28 two weeks ago which will let you know this game has a ranked opponent.

Hawks Fly High !!

What else is new for a team that has had CL’s number for the 9 years they have been playing on the gridiron . Wimberley owns a 7-2 record in this series.

CL’s district is starting to take shape as Fredericksburg is showing some muscle after they took Burnet to the woodshed and Boerne continues to have a strong showing after beating San Antonio Holy Cross.

Go Hawks and let’s have a strong week of competition.
