Canyon Lake had some signings last week when Reagan Heun, Anna Bettersworth, and Faith Hasness signed on the dotted line for Baskeball and Volleyball.
Congratulations Ladies and now finish strong in your classes and make the Hawk Nation Proud.
A great win for the Football team last Friday as this group has tied the longest winning streak at 6 games that our 2011 group accomplished.
Next up will be Gatesville Hornets at Gupton Stadium in Cedar Park.
The Hawks will be attempting to get past that first round as their last two tries have come up empty.
Gatesville might be the 4th Seed but that is a truism that would be folly if this team was any different district in the State of Texas. A group of schools that have had 4 teams ranked this season and having 3 losses would be a common occurrence for 90% of schools in the 4A Classification.
Should be a good contest and if you cannot get away, then CLB will be, ‘on the air’, starting at 6:15pm.
Basketball is in full swing now that the Boys started play this past Saturday.
The Boy’s Team will be short handed as their are several players still competing in their football uniforms. Lampasas will be their next contest this Tuesday on the road. The first home game will be Tuesday before the Thanksgiving break against Llano.
CL Ladies have started the season with a 3-0 record and will be in action this Tuesday when Wimberley comes to town for a 3 game night. This will be the toughest team to date and a good barometer as this team is still working on the fundamentals and fine tuning for their district slate staring in January.
Take a look on the schedule above and you will see that our Hawk Swimming team will be in Burnet for a Swim Meet that the Hawks have won for 3 years straight. This Meet is significant because it does not have those big 6A schools that will usually dominate a smaller school.
A lot of good athletes taking up residence in this sport and hoping the Swim team can continue their success from past years in Burnet.
Several opportunities to see some action this week as the Football team will take center stage this Friday.
Go Hawks!!!
