Hawk’s Basketball Sweep their 2 Games at Crockett Tourney on Friday

Canyon Lake Hawks upped their record to 3-1 in the Austin Crockett Basketball Tournament after sweeping their two games with Lampasas and Austin McCollum.
The McCollum contest did not produce much sweat for the Lady Hawks as this Austin school would only reach 13 points for the entire game. CL scored that number of points in the first quarter allowing for some rest as the tournament continues with two more battles on Saturday.

Reagan Heun outscored McCollum after leading the Hawks with 15 as the only CL player in double digit scoring.
Chelsea Tschoepe just missed the double digit scoring plateau with 9 for the game. Canyon Lake’s opponent was not able to muster more that 4 points in any quarter allowing for this 35 point run-a-way.
The next game with Lampasas did have more resistance, however, CL was able to go into halftime locker room with a 9 point advantage, 25-16.
These Badgers badgered the Hawks by sending CL to the foul line for 29 tries at scoring points when the clock stands still.
Reagan Heun once again led all scorers with 27 points with 15 of those coming from the charity stripe. Heun missed her own record for made free throws in a game by one as she reached that milestone in a game with La Vernia last year and Ashley Pfaff with 16 in a game with Ingram Moore back on January 26th, 2010.

The 2nd half was more competitive with Lampasas outscoring your Hawks by two points as the damage was already in the books as CL used their 9 point halftime lead to stand up for their second win for the day.
Canyon Lake will finish their Crockett Tourney with two Saturday contests as the Hawks run their season record to 7-1.
Games Today:
CL Hawks play the Tournament’s host at 9am and then will be back on the hardwood with the final battle with Austin Reagan starting at 3:30pm.
