        CLHS Hawks  35  Fredericksburg   07

Canyon Lake needs help!!! The Hawks need Fredericksburg to beat Navarro or Boerne to beat Wimberley to make the playoffs.

Of course, we forgot one more thing that is needed…a Hawk win over Bandera.

Kyle Monroe will be passing and running the Bulldogs in the game. In other words this quarterback can avoid a rush which accounts for the 312 yards on the ground he has amassed.

The number one runner is Ryan Walker who has hit the 546 yards rushing at 6.5 yards per tote.

Tyler Faris is one of four receivers with over 100 yards after catch. Faris has accumulated 569 yards via the pass.

Ryan Walker also has 370 yards receiving. That gives this player 916 of all purpose yardage.

So here is what Bandera has on offense:
                  Rushing         Receiving
 Ryan Walker      546             370
 Tyler Faris      197             569
 Michael Miller    92             115
 Kyle Monroe      312             The passer

All of these players will be playing both ways of offense and defense.

The number of points in the second half would show this out.

Bandera 96 Opponent 176

What is also apparent would be the obvious of teams not having their foot on the accelerator while enjoying a decent lead.

Canyon Lake must continue to apply the focus needed to put these Bulldogs back into the kennel.

Reducing turnovers in the red zone would be a good step in the right direction as well as another good game by the defense.

Bandera is not that good, but CL does not have to hear that from anyone to know that the end result is still possible with a win.

The difference in this game will be a quick attack offense that will apply pressure on Bandera.

Canyon Lake plays Zach Henshaw and Branson Belcher on offense only which is the biggest difference between the two schools….depth.

While the fourth quarter comes about the Bulldog playmakers will going both ways while CL can unleash a more rested team on both sides of the ball.

Time to become Greyhound and Billie fans for a week.
