            ========================+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Canyon Lake has now finished their Cross Country, Volleyball and Football campaigns after a hard fought loss to Needville on Friday, 40-33.

The Hawks faced a powerful Top 10 opponent and the result was a 7 point loss with a chance to draw even or win the game late in the 4th quarter.

These Seniors were champions and represented The Hawk Nation proudly throughout this season. Now with a little more seasoning, Canyon Lake will be back in 8 months with a group of players that have proven themselves after winning District 14-4A with the Hawk Gold and Freshman teams.

CL’s Junior Varsity fell short in district play but did post a winning record that had several of those performers moved up to Varsity at the end of the season due to injuries.

That bodes well for a run that was evident 3 years ago when The Lake went 3 games deep into those Post-Season contests.

Congrats to the Fall teams and now a slate of Basketball can be seen in the Hawk Nest as both Boys and Girls will be active throughout the Winter months.

Not a lot of action with a Thanksgiving week coming, but that just gives the fans a better focus with just those two teams in action before Soccer gets going.

Way to Go Hawks!!
