CL Hawks JV Outrun Clock in 2nd Half in, 48-6 Win over Taylor JV.
Canyon Lake JV Hawks > Ducks in 48-6 Win.
Canyon Lake’s Junior Varsity was in control off this Duck JV unit so bad that the Hawks formed the victory formation with a snap to end the first half.
The score was, 41-6 at the time and piling on more points was not needed or necessary.

Taylor rushing game was in the positive for one play to open the game after a one yard gain. From there on it was under water until mop-up plays to end the contest and a Hawk, 48-6 victory.
CLJV’s first drive had a 25 yard pass on the second play when QB Steven Crowder found Trevin Cutrer for 33 yards and two plays later an AJ Acosta run from 6 yards out would be all that was needed for this win, 8-0 Hawk lead.
The Hawk Defense was in control on their first series of downs when the Ducks flew backwards for a CLJV safety when Duncan Kelley finished the play as the Duck QB was able to recover a fumble and keep the damage to a safety and CL, 10-0 lead.
Caden Rodriguez was next up on the stage with a 23 yard run to pay dirt as the points were being put up much like a pin-ball machine, 16-0.
That was when Cutrer (who was also deadly in tackling Ducks trying to run kick-offs) took the rock 76 yards on a one play drive and score, 22-0 with still 1:11 time left on the first quarter clock.
Another score before the quarter ended when Taylor had their only play for a 79 yard half-back pass to their receiver finishing that first 10 minutes and win for CLJV.

That 35 point half-time lead led to a running clock during the 2nd Half to help bring this blood letting to a close with just one score in that 2nd Half, when Rand Ahlman, had a 15 yard run for a final score, 48-6.
There was no Hawk Rusher that had more than 5 carries with 10 players with a chance to carry the rock.
Canyon Lake was led with 87 yards and two scores by Justin Abbott with The Lake averaging right at 13 yards per carry during this game.
“This was a great feeling,” Abbott said without question. “Our offensive line was bringing their best tonight and this game is all bout teamwork….games like this brings our moral up as a team.”

Abbott was giving testament for how well the team played as the offensive line and running backs teamed for a literal blow-out win.
“I want to be there when a running back scores,” Jayden Huth said when asked what his thoughts were after a block that helps a running back score. “We just keep blocking and give 100% and we want to be there in the end zone to celebrate.”
That teamwork went a long way in showing a dominating performance that was so thorough that the running clock would not stop (much like the Hawk Offense) during that second half for a quick 20 minutes that allowed the visiting Ducks a chance to load their bus earlier for that long ride back home.
CLJV ran their District 13-4A record to 2-0 and will be back in action in Fredericksburg next week.
