honored in District 26-3A.

Matt Magness made the Second Team squad.

Magness was all over the court as he led the team in scoring (11.6), assists (53), made three pointers (20), and finished just one rebound short of Ancel Morel with (89).

Magness finished with 278 points and is now the All-Time Leader in points scored for Canyon Lake. Matt is also in the top five of the following stats for the Hawks.

The worth of this young man for the Hawks can be seen very clearly from the stats below.

Magness left a lot of floor burns on the court and his sacrifice was a joy to witness from the Coaches, Parents, and Fans.

Honorable Mention went to two Hawks:

Ancel Morel and Matt Noyola were the two Hawks given this honor.

If there was a hustle award, then Noyola would be hands down the vote getter for that type of accolade.

Noyola was never in slow motion as he ran the Energizer Bunny down to put batteries inside the bunny that goes and goes and goes.

Noyola led the team with 44 steals as he was the disrupter during the season. He also averaged 6.7 points per game placing second for the team.

Morel had to be the one player that excelled the most in the Coaches eyes. His play underneath the basket was needed to balance the court for the guard happy team.

Morel finished with 100 points and led the team in rebounds. Ancel’s work ethic during the games had the managers having to wash his jersey twice after each game to get it clean.

Congratulations to these three young man who also played their last campaign for the Hawks and will truly be missed by this community.

Good Luck and attack this world like you attacked the basketball court and you will be successful in life.
