Bracken Warrior Take Care of SA Winston, 49-0
Bracken Christian finds themselves, 4-0 after finishing their non-district part of the schedule when they walloped SA The Winston, 49-0.

It was also a home game which allowed this Warrior team a chance to play in front of a packed homecoming crowd.
“I am pleasantly surprised we are 4-0,” Head Coach Lloyd Fields started. “I was happy the way we played and anytime you shut out a team, then it is a good football game.”
Bracken Christian has had a good defense to start this season and that will be an integral part of being able to complete this season in November.
“They (Winston) were the most physical team we have played this year,” Coach Fields said. “We will need a week off to heal and this open date came at a good time this year.”
Running Back, Noah Boriack was on his game again this night with 213 yards rushing on just 11 carries. Eight of those 11 carries were over 10 yards in length and in one case also levying some pain along the way.
“If he (Boriack) continues to be available, then he will be reaching Achilles status,” Coach Fields said very complimentary.
‘The Run’ was displayed in the second quarter for Boriack as he took the pitch back from QB Brady Beene and instantly bowled over one defensive player before he reached the line of scrimmage.
Moments later, as Boriack was getting to the sideline he was able to take two more Eagle players out of the play by knocking them both to the ground.
While Boriak was seeing the goal line, there would be one more defender with a clear shot at ‘Bruiser’ and what happened next was a thing of beauty.
Boriack would take one step towards this player and that was all it took as that player just fell to the ground.
A 43 yard touchdown run with carnage left in Boriack’s wake.
“I am with a mindset that I was going to score and no one was going to stop me,” Boriack said calmly. “I can tell how the defense will stop their momentum in games and when I can see that type of team, I will go get ’em.”
Go get ’em he did on that and several other runs as Boriack finished right at 20 yards per touch on this homecoming night.
Bracken also performed well in the defensive backfield as they finished with five interceptions.
Two interceptions a piece from Christian De Leon and Brady Beene. And on that other interception, Boriack took it to the house for another score that would help get Bracken to that oasis called ‘Mercy’ game status with one more score before half.
“Their quarterback was alright, but I knew I could cover the wide receiver,” De Leon said. “This has been a good year and I am learning and getting better every week.”
De Leon was commenting on how he was thinking about the game in just his fourth time of suiting up.
Coy Zunker led the team with nine tackles again in this game and The Faz (Zack Fasenmeyer) also had an impressive six tackle contest.
Bracken continues to pass for over 100 yards as this was the Warriors third game in a row topping that barrier. Compared to last year when BCS finished with 612 yards through the air in 11 games.
With 570 yards already gained in this fashion it would only take one more pass of 43 yards to go over that mark and in their fifth game.

You can see how this offense is within striking distance of passing (pardon the pun) all those years mentioned above. That has opened up this offense and will give district opponents more to prepare for.
“Defenses have been keying on Jeff (Camp),” Boriack stated while commenting on how Beene has been a, go to, receiver this season. “When we send two guys deep, then that leaves a wide open Beene and it leaves him just one on one and some good yardage to gain.”
Now Bracken will prepare for the rigors of district in two weeks and there will be more top teams in that group than will be from around this great state.
“Being 4-0 is a good thing and if we keep playing as a team and to the Glory of God, then we will show the State of Texas what we got,” Freshman Safety De Leon said with resolve.
“This has been a huge confidence booster for the team and school,” Boriack closed. “By being 4-0 and manhandling those teams, tells us we can do this and we have a chance to win state.”

“Yes this is exhausting but this can be the best year!” Boriack finished.
