Cedar Park Eagles have similar record as Bracken Christian as the winner of this game will be fourth in district play and will help in seeding the Wild Card teams for the Post Season starting next week.
BCS is riding a four game winning streak over Cedar Park and their last game was four years ago when the Warriors won a scoring affair, 68-32.
With district common opponents as a yardstick, this game looks to be a close game with those little things in a game turning the momentum for either team.
Austin Veritas beat both clubs by the exact same score and Castle Hills the other flag bearing team in the district having a harder time with Cedar Park than the Warriors.
Another game that could be used to deduce an outcome would be coming from Kerrville OLH.
Cedar Park jumped out to a 14-0 lead in that first quarter on OLH, but their well ran dry as they could only muster 19 more points while OLH turned on their offensive game with 47 points in the win.
That same OLH team is still fresh on the minds of most Bracken faithful as that game was decided with no time left on the clock on a field goal.
The Bracken that played last week would beat Cedar Park, but the team that suited up for those other two games with Veritas and Castle Hills might not enjoy that same fate.
What we do know is that Bracken will only be as good as how Noah Boriack and Jeff Camp play and help the younger players for Bracken up in this battle.
Camp reached new highs in the receiving game while Boriack not only got his usual 200 yard rushing game but was also able to pass for over 200 yards becoming the first Warrior to ever accomplish that feat.
Another important player will be Freshman Cristian De Leon and Sophomore Brady Beene. Both of these players can certainly take some pressure off Boriack and Camp with their passing and receiving game.
Coy Zunker will need to be on his ‘A’ game too in order to give the Warriors a chance for a victory.
An 11 game road winning streak means something and BCS has the knack for just playing better on the road throughout their history.
All three of Bracken’s losses were at home with the only victory being the 100th game played in the Warriors’ short history.
A winnable game and no injuries would be nice for a team that is getting focused on their playoff chances.
Go Get’em Warriors!!
