Opening Curtain Next Friday after Final Scrimmage

Canyon Lake had their final rehearsal on a Thursday in Cuero when they met Orange Grove at a neutral site for these two schools that are separated by 173 miles.

This rehearsal was a success with no broken legs (acting vernacular) after a short week of practice and an opening scrimmage with Cuero the week before.

CL Hawks Win Silver Bracket Consolation in Rattler Tourney

       Mariah Haight and Paige Bower still smiling after a long day of work during the Rattler Tourney.

Canyon Lake won Consolation in the Silver Bracket on Saturday after disposing Cal Allen in a two set sweep, 25-13 and 25-22 this past Saturday.

The Hawks finished their Rattler Tournament with a 4-2 record and now stand with an, 11-10 season record after their final tournament play for this season.

Freshman and Varsity Hawks Storm in Win Over Akins

Canyon Lake’s Volleyball squad are starting their season over after reaching the .500 mark record wise with a win over Austin Akins at the Hawk Nest Friday night.

The Hawks started the week with a loss to Poth and now have worked back with a 3 wins in their last four battles. as CL will return to San Marcos to finish out the Rattler Tournament on Saturday.

                Canyon Lake starts Cuero Scrimmage with a good defensive effort!

Canyon Lake’s first scrimmage is in the books after battling the Cuero Gobblers last Saturday.

Not many clouds for cover when the two teams took to the field on a 100 degree start to this battle.

Canyon Lake Broadcasting (CLB) is “On the Air” Tonight @ 5pm

Canyon Lake Broadcasting will commence tonight when the Hawks kicks off their season with a scrimmage in Cuero starting at 5:00pm.

This will be CLB’s third year of bringing you game action for Football and other Hawk Sports.

Hawks Sweep 1st Day @ Tex-Fest

    Senior Riley Mickey is providing some leadership this season.

Canyon Lake was all business on Friday during their first day of competition in Wimberley’s Volleyball Tournament.

Burnet, Boling, and Caddo Mills were all fodder after the Hawks paved their way to the Gold Round that commence Saturday morning in the Main Gym. Canyon Lake will be paired against Peaster starting at 9am.

Megan Vorhis & Lainee Moses both had a hand in CL’s 5 Set Win over Liberty Hill.

Canyon Lake split their 3-team round robin, to open their season, after losing to Clemens and then a win over Liberty Hill and a 1-1 record against two very competitive schools.

CL Volleyball Goes to Battle on Tuesday @ Home with 10am Start

Canyon Lake will go to battle this week with a round-robin set of games against Schertz Clemens and Liberty Hill, as this year begins with two power house schools.

Last season both teams had some daunting records with LH Panthers garnering a 33-11 year while the Clemens Buffaloes came home with a 40-6 campaign.

The Panthers were beat by the Class 4A Champions Needville who happened to be the same team that ended CL’s season. That contest was a Final Four loss for LH while Clemens final loss was to SA Reagan.
