Five Hawks in State Meet with Alencia Lentz Winning Pole Vault, 13’6

 

                   Alencia Lentz had no trouble clearing her first height at the Texas State Meet!!

 

Canyon Lake’s Alencia Lentz came home with a Gold Medal after setting a State Meet Record vaulting, 13-06 at The University of Texas Myers Stadium.

The Lake had their most athletes to qualify for this ultimate Track Meet and will look to add to this total for these upcoming years.

Hawks Survive with, 4-3 Win to Tie Series with Blue Jays,1-1

Canyon Lake takes 2nd game of the 3 game series and will go to battle on Saturday with the first pitch at 1:00pm in La Grange.

CL Hawk’s Bats go Silent in Loss to Needville, 4-1

Canyon Lake Baseball went quietly in their first round loss to Needville, 4-1.

“I will get the idea across to the team that we will need to play one game at a time,” Head Coach Victor Escamilla said when stating on what is the mindset for this  series. “Game two will stand alone and we will get after it.”

Pre-Game Area Round: CL Hawks vs. Needville Blue Jays

Pre-Game: CL Hawks vs. Needville Thursday-Friday 7:00p La Grange if 3rd game is necessary then a 1pm Saturday start in La Grange.

Canyon Lake will face the Blue Jays for the Area Round just like last year but this time each school is ranked which shows just how tough Region IV has become.

Alencia Lentz is having fun doing what she loves.

 

Canyon Lake’s Lady Tracksters came through with their best finish at their recent Region IV Meet in Kingsville finishing 5th overall garnering 43 points.

CL Hawks Softball Finish Season with a Promising Future

                               Freshman Rianna Gonzales will be primed for next season.

 

Hawk Softball had an early exit from this year’s post-season but strides were made in these last two seasons with several players that raised their game while improving CL’s record with 12 more wins this season.

Canyon Lake gobbled up Cuero with a 5 run fifth inning that led to an 8-3 Bi-District win and will now advance to an Area Round series against Needville.
