Canyon Lake Ladies Winn, 50-29

So Chelsea Tschoepe scored 6 points in 4th Quarter to keep pressure on Eagle Pass Winn

 

Canyon Lake Lady Hawks improved to 11-2 after a Win over Eagle Pass Winn on Tuesday night at the Hawk Nest, 50-29.

It was a slow game as the Hawks finally started playing in the 2nd Half by outscoring Winn, 30-15 during those last two quarters.

CL Hawks Make History in Pleasanton Win, 28-10

Canyon Lake made history after taking over the 2nd half and beating Pleasanton, 28-10 on Friday night at Gustafson Stadium in San Antonio.

“We weren’t ourselves in that first half,” Head Coach Charley Drum surmised. “Give Pleasanton credit, we were lucky to be down by just 3 points, 10-7 at half.”

CL Hawks Put Yellowjackets in a Straight Jacket in Win, 59-39

Canyon Lake took the lead for good with 1:50 on the 1st quarter clock for a 20 point win over Llano, 59-39.

“We started off slow,” Head Coach Lucas Chapman stated. “We looked tired coming out in the first half but we continued to play hard and then we found lots of energy as the game progressed.”

CL Lady Basketball Take a Charge in Win over Boerne Champion, 41-38

Canyon Lake Lady Basketball had their best win of the year after a hold onto your chair win, 41-38.

The Champion Chargers have a 5-4 record now and this group of ladies have been in every game they have played and that will give a good barometer on where CL will need to capitalize as this season matures.

Canyon Lake Lady Hawks matched their best start in school history with a 17 point victory over Somerset, 50-33.

Hawk’s Basketball Sweep their 2 Games at Crockett Tourney on Friday

Canyon Lake Hawks upped their record to 3-1 in the Austin Crockett Basketball Tournament after sweeping their two games with Lampasas and Austin McCollum.

The McCollum contest did not produce much sweat for the Lady Hawks as this Austin school would only reach 13 points for the entire game. CL scored that number of points in the first quarter allowing for some rest as the tournament continues with two more battles on Saturday.

Canyon Lake won the coin toss and never played from behind for the rest of the game beating the Gatesville Hornets, 31-21 in a Bi-District game.

“We are making history,” Head Coach Charley Drum commented. “This is a group we challenged at halftime and we came out and played all three phases of the game well in that second half.”
