How did BCS win it all last year?
Sunday, July 24th, 2011The obvious reason was the Warriors being better. There were several items that fell together that helped in the undefeated season.
The ReSporter will go into some of the reasons Bracken won it all.
Turnover Ratio: The Warriors won the turnover battle in every game but one last season. Bracken intercepted 12 passes and threw five. The plus seven ratio helped BCS but that stat alone did not catapult the team to the championship.
Bracken Christian won the fumble stat overwhelmingly—28 to 8, or a plus 20. The opposition fumbled 42 times all together also helping Bracken hold the team without a first down.

CL Football Poll
Sunday, July 10th, 2011A Look at District 26-3A Football Schedules
Saturday, July 9th, 2011The ReSporter would like to take a look at the teams and what their football record was in comparison to the rest of the District. The records were only based on the team played in the regular season.
Canyon Lake played a 14-1 Wimberley team and so that was the number used for strength of schedule. The playoffs however were not calculated, so the 8-3 record of Burnet was not used nor was the Somerset record.
So each team will have a different number of games in the formula, but if the team played opponents that went far in the playoffs for their regular season game, then their record would reflect that calculation.
