The Hawks started their Basketball Season on a Saturday morning when La Vernia paid a visit to The Lake and winning on a 3-pointer with no time on the clock, 67-64.

Canyon Lake scored with less than 4 minutes to play in a win over Liberty Hill and a District Championship to boot, 20-14. Anytime two Slot-T Offenses go head to head that game becomes a deluxe chess match for both schools.
Canyon Lake’s Lady Basketball started their season on the road against San Antonio Brooks Academy last Tuesday and had little resistance in a blow out win, 67-6. This year’s Hawk team has one difference from last season with a full roster of 10 players which was not an option with last year’s Varsity.
Canyon Lake’s Boys Basketball will get going for real this Saturday at the Hawk Nest for an unusual start with the Sub-Varsity tipping off at 10am.
