Faith Hasness has new rolls to perform for her Senior Year

CL Hawks Volleyball finished their first day of matches undefeated and will now start their contests on Saturday competing in the Gold Pool.

Johnson City will be next starting at 9am in Wimberley.

The day was not that easy as CL had some struggles in climbing the mountain, but once they got in gear, then a victory was realised.

Each match had the Hawks starting slow as CL outscored this 3 team day by a combined 11 points.

That next contest was much different with a lopsided, 37 points difference to catapult the Hawks to the next round with an undefeated record.

Canyon Lake’s Volleyball Alumni won their game on Thursday night as this game had the Alumni players making kills, digs, and sets all over the court.

It could be said that this year’s addition of Hawk Volleyball did not even show up as the Hawk Alumni was all business throughout this 2 game match.

Canyon Lake’s 10th year of competition will get started this week as the 3 Fall Sports start preparing for competition.

The Hawk’s Volleyball squad will have a scrimmage against Blanco on Friday while both the Cross Country and Football crews will start their first week of getting in shape coming this Monday.

Canyon Lake will be starting up their sports with the Volleyball team when the Hawks will be taking on the Alumni Hawks on August 3rd.

Volleyball has the best record for any sport at Canyon Lake and will look to continue that mantra this year with a team returning several starters and other players that had some 1st place finishes with those Sub-Varsity teams this past year.

            Hawks Strike a Pose for what they hope will be many more this upcoming Season.

Canyon Lake’s Volleyball Summer team won the San Marcos Summer league last week as this crew of players jump start the expectations on what might be another banner season.

The Hawks entered the tournament as the #3 seeded team and faced off with the #1 seed and undefeated Seguin in round two.

Do note that The ReSporter does not have team stats for that first year and for the record, the Hawks first game with Blanco will be the 100th game played.
