Canyon Lake will need a win for striving for their on destiny which would secure the 9th consecutive playoff spot for the Hawks.
A loss coupled with a Lampasas win over Fredericksburg would leave CL holding an empty bag after just getting back from a trick-or-treat outing which would not be a wanted end result.
So far this season, it has been a lose-win situation as these past 7 weeks have seen CL get a win only to give that win back with a loss the next week. That synopsis would need to be broken this week with a victory.
Burnet brings a 3-6 record and one win over Taylor in district play.
Simply put, a Hawk defensive outing like last week in Lampasas would go a long way in securing a win and a place at the playoff table.
The ReSporter has the Bi-District schools below for you to have an idea of who might be next week’s team on the docket.
What is known is Austin LBJ would be pitted against La Vernia. With the scheduled games below, it should be a Somerset win over Uvalde who has yet to win a district outing and the winner of the Pleasanton/La Vernia team having the 3rd seed.

With a Friday that has CL with a chance for a 2nd seed/3rd seed/ or not making the dance will have a lot of fans working their phone for scores and updates as the Hawks battle It out with the Bulldogs.
What would happen if:
1) Fredericksburg and Canyon Lake win would result in: Fredericksburg 2nd Seed, CL Hawks 3rd Seed, Lampasas 4th Seed.
2) Lampasas beats Freddie by 5 or more points & CL win would result in: Lampasas 2nd Seed, Fredericksburg 3rd Seed, CL Hawks 4th Seed.
3) Lampasas beats Freddie by 4 or less points and a CL win would result in: CL Hawks 2nd Seed, Lampasas 3rd Seed, Freddie 4th Seed.
4) Don’t Ask but CL would qualify with a loss based on the Burnet/Hawk score. But most likely would not happen a very slim chance.
5) Hawks Lose probably be getting fishing poles out early for some down time on Canyon Lake.
