CL Hawks Take Care of Business in a, 3-0 Win Over Akins
The Lake continued their dominance in home games thus far after upending Austin Akins, 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Hawk Nest.
Head Coach Daniella Villarreal was able to work in several players as this season draws closer to a district slate.
CLHS was able to see 8 different players getting into the Kill column with Preslie Owens leading the way with 10 for this win.
Owens has been showing off with each additional game as she reached 3rd on this season’s list which gives CLake a slew of players that can attack the net for points.
Te’a Gonzales was another player who was moved up from Junior Varsity full time now as this lefty gives the Lake more options offensively.
Garnering 14 aces did hurt in this night’s performance as this has been another good trait as this season has matured.
A tough district that Canyon Lake has been left out these past few years for a playoff spot will certainly give this Senior class a goal to reach when that part of the schedule gets going in 3 weeks.
District Standongs Davenport 22 3 .880 Wimberley 25 5 .833 Canyon Lake 13 10 .565 Bandera 13 15 .464 Fredericksburg 9 12 .423 Long Creek 6 15 .286
The Hawks will be in action this Friday in Randolph that will have the Varsity’s first serve at 5pm followed by the Sub-Varsity.
Who were also on fire on this night in sweeping all three contests.
Way to GO LAKE!
