It wasn’t a bounty week for Canyon Lake as Volleyball and Football could not shake that loss column.

Volleyball had that tough two game set with Wimberley & Davenport but a loss to Fredericksburg last Friday put a dent into grabbing momentum back.

This week will start with a road game to Long Creek tonight and then a homecoming night game at The Hawk Nest this Friday against Bandera. With a win over Long Creek tonight, The Lake, will clinch a post-season bid.

Volleyball will enter their last phase of their district season with four remaining battles that comes to an end on the 24th of October.

CLake’s Football suffered a set-back in their loss to Somerset and find themselves with the same situation as last season. Playoffs are certainly still in the mix but a second seed might be on the line based on upcoming results.

Homecoming this week against Uvalde, a team that played Somerset two weeks ago, and enjoyed a lead going into halftime. A winnable game but a consistent game is a must and not letting last week’s set-back beat the Hawk’s twice.

Cross Country had Tristan Schenk finish 4th and Gibson Cover had a 7th place finish, and the Ladies also will have two continue their season with Eva Zabarcencu and Sophie Eastland. So that makes 4 students going to Region meet this year.
