Hawk Tennis Place Good Results in San Marcos

Seniors Grant Cover & William Bright placed 3rd place overall in boy’s doubles. Go Lake!

Head Coach Cory Mickey relayed last week’s results for Tennis, “The Canyon Lake Tennis was part of this past week with two great days for the Hawk Tennis team at the San Marcos Rattler Roundup tournament.

This competition was against almost all 5 and 6A schools which can give these student athletes that much needed confidence as this season continues.

Seniors Grant Cover/William Bright had a 3rd place overall in boys doubles while Catcher Visser placed 3rd place in boys singles.

The Lake also had Seniors Alex Ballard/Mazzy Mathis take 2nd place in Mixed Doubles in the B draw while Sophomores Gibson Cover/Teeler Chatterton took 2nd Place Mixed doubles in the C draw

All these Hawks competed in the winner bracket on Friday and two other double teams lost in their consolation finals. Emma/Julianna match went down to a tie breaker for the medal and fell just short playing against a 6A School.”
