Boy’s Freshman and JV Beat Up on Navarro as Future Looks Bright
Canyon Lake’s Freshman and Junior Varsity continue reaching for the upper echelon in District 26-4A Basketball with some dominant contests.
On Friday the Freshman won over Navarro by 16 points as the Hosts decided to call off the dogs as they enjoyed a 20 point lead going into the 4th quarter.
The Freshman Hawks were led with 3 players scoring in double digits.
Mott led all scorers with 18 followed by Greene (13) and Chacon (11) as Canyon Lake controlled the Panthers.
Lorett missed the double by one point and CL continues to dominate many of their counterparts in the 4 games showed below.
To go along with the 16 point win with Navarro, the Hawks have 17, 28, and 39 point victories.
Gonzales was the most hapless of the four opponents with the Yoakum Bulldogs coming in next with an anemic 28 point loss.
Top Freshman scorers below should show a chance of some rising water for Hawk Basketball for the future.

==========================================
Canyon Lake’s Junior Varsity continues their climb back out of a hole with another win over Navarro when the Hawks started on fire and held on over the Panthers with a 4 point victory, 56-52.
The Hawks have had second half problems but were able to hold on after leading 11 points going into their halftime situation room.
On this night, Ryner Martin scored 25 points as the rim looked like the Pacific Ocean.
Hank Jordan was another Hawk to reach double digit scoring with 10 on this night as Canyon Lake needed all they could get as the game became much closer game than anticipated.
In their earlier game with the Panthers, Brownlee was the Hawks sharp shooter, but on this night Martin would take the scorers table with pencil in hand.
An opposing Coach would strategize in stopping Brownlee based on that last contest to be branded by the next Hawk and eventual Hawk win.
Now Canyon Lake will continue this sojourn as they will take on Cuero and Wimberley next week for staking their right at the top of District 26-4A play.
