Canyon Lake had one of it’s best days last Thursday as the Baseball/Softball/Track Boys and Girls all won their contests.

For the Softball Team they won 3 games on that day and will going into District 26-4A season having played 11 games without a loss.

This Softball team might be the strongest group of players since the Missy Romero crew was playing in the playoffs.

The Softball team will need to learn how to win in district as 2 years ago the Hawks about the same record and that team finished with a losing record after their district scheduled was complete.

CL had some success last season but after losing on the road to La Vernia, a downfall commenced keeping that team from playing extra games.

So, show up this Friday to help jettison this team over Gonzales and see some good softball.

Baseball just finished their Comal Tournament which seems to be a tournament made for larger schools that can have more depth in the pitching department.

With pitching being a key ingredient for playing many games in 3 days. Canyon Lake played decent and will continue to grow as this week with a game in Burnet and then back home on Friday when they face another larger school in Marble Falls.

Track & Field had the best day for both the boys and girls winning as well as the JV Boys coming in first with a 2nd place finish for the Girls team.

This is a fun group of athletes to watch as both teams are loading up with some depth that can score in multiple events.

That is a good omen as this week CL will travel to Bandera on a Wednesday before they take a break for Spring Break.

Both Soccer teams will start their second round of district games as the Girls will welcome Boerne and the Boys take the road to Boerne on Tuesday and then Bandera will be the opponent and those boys-girls contests are switched.
