CL Hawks Football All-District for 2016 Season Announced

Canyon Lake’s Football team had their awards banquet last Thursday and announced the all-district and other accolades for a team that finished the highest in district since the school started in 2008 season.

Canyon Lake did have young man who excelled and those long awaited mentions are below.
A final record of 7-4 had the Hawks needing one more win to match the best campaign in CL’s history when the 2011 team had an 8-2 final tally.
Heath McDonough made All-District on offense as well as defensive side of the ball. You could also add a decent punt return for a touchdown on special teams but not good enough for a district mention on that front.
Jacob Foster has been a mainstay for Canyon Lake ever since he moved up from the Freshman team three years ago. The Hawk Nation has another chance of watching this young Big man for another season.
Foster made the SA Express 1st team All-Area. 2nd Team All-State by TSWA and below you will see his name mentioned at the District 14-4A MVP. Congrats Jacob!!
