CL Hawks Can’t Slow Down Greyhounds in Loss, 11-0

The CL Hawks started their district playing a perennial powerhouse in Boerne and the Greyhounds played like one on Friday night as they got on their Greyhound for home after winning, 11-0.

Canyon Lake were put in molasses early as the Greyhounds were off and running in the first inning and never stopped with their two home-runs that ended up being enough to close up shop for another day.

“We are going to stay with our process and eventually it will get here,” Head Coach Trent Dunavant stated. “We will work on our fundamentals until we are blue in our face.”

Canyon Lake have struggled much of this season as they are fielding a very young team but good things had started to materialize in the past week and it will only take one to help get this group of players on the road with better outcomes.

things coming together but we are just not very strong.”

The Hawks will be playing each District 28-4A team 3 times just like the district games were played 2 years ago.

That will meant two games against the same school and then one more time though the district with solo games.

A lot of games to play and many more chances for getting this season on track as this district only has 5 schools and if you can beat one team then you can have a chance for more games.

That is what the Hawks will need to have in order to slow this season down, but on this night, the Greyhounds were on a fast track.
