Hawks Beat SA Hawkins in Volleyball
Canyon Lake would be a wild ride at the rodeo this season. The Hawks won another needed game over the Hawkins Wolfpack, Tuesday, 25-10, 25-8, and 25-4.
San Antonio Hawkins is not a team that will scare many teams this year so the victory was expected, the key to games like this would be the focus and how the team took care of business.
Everyone contributed in the game and the closest game was the first one, when they allowed 10 points to be scored. The next two games the Hawks were more in tune with the task at hand.
Canyon Lake is now 2-2 for District play and need to start taking care of other winnable teams to get in a solid playoff spot.
“We need to clean it up,” Head Coach Nicole Creek said, in responding to the teams left on the schedule.
The Hawks had a practice last Saturday after a tough loss to Bandera.
“We practiced for just an hour,” Coach Creek said. “We will be alright and the girls just needed to refocus and get ready for the remaining games.”
The up and down Hawks need to soar to new heights in order to reach the goals of the past two teams. The up and down season needs to be corrected quickly.
