Hawks MS 7th A Squad Take Billies to Cleaners, 28-0

Mountain Valley MS 7th A Team dominates Fredericksburg, 28-0.

(Youtube interview with Shayne Moss and Hayden Wilson is below the Box Score below)

Mountain Valley Mopped up the Billies 7th A squad, 28-0 on Thursday as this game would keep the Hawks in the race for a District Title.

It did not take long for MV Hawks to put this game out of reach as Tyler Balderas had a run for 55 yards on that first drive and Shayne Moss would mop up the drive with a 2 yard score and what would be all the points needed in this whitewash.

    Good Game Mountain Valley

Fredericksburg’s Middle School would have a drive to answer the first Hawk score when they penetrated to the MV, 25 yard line. A no gain for their 4th down try would be the result.

Mountain Valley would strike again before half when Balderas would go untouched through the middle of the Billies line for a 25 yard romp and a, 14-0 Hawk lead.

The second cycle would be just as bad as this Billie team would not have any answers for this Hawk crew.

That second half had a Billie punt that went down as (-10) yards when Hayden Wilson would find himself with a chance to grab the ball for a 12 yard punt return that would give MV possession on Fredericksburg’s 24 yard line.

Moss would not gather on any rocks this time as the Hawk’s cleaning machine went 24 yards on the first play not giving any time for a second rinse with MV leading, 22-0.

This time the Billies did sustain a decent drive by going 44 yards down to MV’s 18 yard line. It would be Fredericksburg’s only chance in the Red Zone as they could not convert a 4th down.

        Flying High Go Hawks!

MVMS would finish the game when Moss took the first play after the turnover on downs, 37 yards to the Billies 47 yard line. River Hand was in on the wash as he would scamper 12 yards on the next play and then a 15 yarder had the Hawks in business on the 9 yard line.

A Coby Mickey’s hard 6 yard run set up a final touchdown when Ethan Schedlbauer finished this cleaning day with a 4 yard touchdown and final, 28-0 game.

This 7th Grade class would outscore Fredericksburg, 58-8 in the two games for this evening and now will ready themselves for a date with La Vernia in two weeks.

Go Hawks!!

Shayne Moss had a great running game while Hayden Wilson had a chance for a Punt Return and a good game for the Offensive/Defensive Line.
