     The Hit Man says Go Hawks!!

Canyon Lake’s Football season started the first part of August with practices and ended last Friday on December 1st. The Hawks met their match against a team that has made a habit of playing on several week-ends after their regular season ends in Waco La Vega.

Minor mistakes added up enough to make this game a tough out but your Hawks finished higher than any other team and set the stage and rung on the ladder for future teams to aspire too become.

It was a great ride and thanks for your dedication and tenacity.

Now some of those students will change uniforms and come to the rescue to the Hawk Boys Basketball squad.

Canyon Lake needs players to help in games and practices so they can sharpen and fine tune their game.

The Boys will be hosting this wee-end their CL Boys Basketball Tournament and can start to get their season going forward as they prepare for District 28-4A games in January.

            CL Hawks soar High

Meanwhile, CL’s Ladies have set a trail that has a chance for some firsts as this group has already reached 14 wins and only have two years that still have more.

The Lady Hawks finished the week with a 4-1 record and that one loss was to a 6A school that went to overtime.

CL will be on the road this week as they will travel to Florence and SA Randolph as they will try to continue their fine tuning with hopes of having more games after the regular season finishes.
