CL Hawks Boy’s Lay Egg in Loss to Hondo, 73-49

Canyon Lake Boy’s Basketball team will now have one game that will need to be on the winning side as they will combat Bandera next week in a game for having a playoff date as the end of the regular season after finishing 24 points to the bad in their game with Hondo, 73-49.

Parker Mott continued his strong season after leading the Hawks with 12 points in the contest while Caimen McDonough cleared the board with 13 rebounds. Zack Taliaferro was in double digit scoring with 11 for the game.
Other than those two items, Canyon Lake did not do well in their first period, as that quarter continues to put the Hawk’s needing to claw back for a chance of a victory.
This contest had CL with a 10 point deficit after that first period. The game was still within striking range going into that final stanza as the Hawks trailed, 50-41. After laying an egg in that final quarter Canyon Lake will be needing a win against Bandera next week. These two schools will be able to plan for another game after the season ends.
