              Let’s Go Hawks!!

Canyon Lake has started another year of sports and this year’s Volleyball Crew has just finished their 3 weeks of tournaments and sport a 10-9 record.

An up and down season so far but CL’s Volleyball team have won 5 of their last 7 contests and had a decent showing in their recent Rattler Tournament.

This week, Canyon Lake, will be going against some smaller schools but do not let that phrase fool you as Johnson City and Blanco are no slouches. JC Eagles are ranked 5th in one poll and both schools will be a load to control.

Blanco is not ranked but they beat Johnson City once this year while JC has beaten schools that have given your Hawks some set-backs this season.

The Eagles will be playing at the Hawk Nest this Tuesday and then CL will head to Blanco for an early start so they can be back for the home opener when the Hawks Football team welcomes Marble Falls to The Nest.

Yes, you read that right, Canyon Lake will for the first time open their season against a team not named Blanco.

MF Mustangs will start things off with the Sub-Varsity Hawk Teams away from home with the Freshman kicking things off at 5pm. This group of Hawks finished last season winning district and will now see how they stack up as Freshman against a 5A school.

Right after that contest concludes, the Hawk JV squad will go to work for a chance to start another season with a win on the road.

The ReSporter does not have the results for the Cross Country team that started last Saturday.

Fun Times as all three Fall Sports get into game action as Canyon Lake will have some lofty shoes to fill to match last year’s athletes that had every Team Sport making the Playoffs for the first time in their History.
