     =============================================================================

Canyon Lake’s week had a mixed bag for the Volleyball squad after a loss on Tuesday and then getting back on a winning side on Friday beating Llano.

Volleyball is going into the 2nd week of their final district round to crown a District 28-4A Champion. The Lake will need to sweep their final games to have a chance winning district.

It will start on Tuesday when the Texans will come to the Hawk Nest for a must win situation for your Hawks.

If CL can get a win then they will still be one game away from sharing a title and hence would require another District friend for some help.

Canyon Lake would accomplish a good chance for a 2nd seed with a victory over Wimberley which is always a good way of entering the playoffs.

Fredericksburg will be in the Hawk Nest on Friday and giving CL some home cooking for the week. That final contest will be a week for this Tuesday with a road battle in Bandera.

Football will be in full swing when Burnet comes to town on Friday and Canyon Lake, with a win, being able to stay undefeated for the season and tied on top of District 14-4A play.

The Hawks spotted Taylor 13 points before unleashing scores from their Offense/Defense/Special Teams and a 37 point barrage of unanswered points.

                     Go Hawks!!

Taylor did score in the 4th quarter while the Hawks had a their starters resting on the sideline.

Canyon Lake proved that a Hawk can beat a Duck after seeing the Gold, Freshman, and Junior Varsity sweeping Taylor under the table in a dominating style.

Burnet will have the same itinerary as that Taylor week, when the Sub-Varsity will travel to Burnet on Thursday and the Bullldogs’s Varsity paying a visit to The Nest on Friday.

Go Hawks and Beat Wimberley/Freddie (Volleyball) and Burnet (Football)!!
