It Startz this week & Beat Bandera

It is hard to believe but this year’s Volleyball regular season will be coming to a close this Tuesday when the Hawks travel to Bandera with a chance of getting a better seeding.

Last week was not a successful venture as The Lake lost both home games and find themselves needing a win over the Bulldogs to finish with a 3rd seed in District 28-4A play.

Fredericksburg will finish their games with Llano that is currently without a win this year in this district. So a win by the Billies would be a good bet. If the Hawks cannot clear the Bandera hurdle on Tuesday then these two schools would either coin flip or have a play-in game for a chance of securing that 3rd seeded plateau.

District 28-4A is paired with District 27-4A and at this writing Liberty Hill is leading and Burnet is second. One of these schools will be CL’s opponent when the post-season kicks off in a week.

Get a Bulldog and Go Lady Hawks!!

The ReSporter included Mountain Valley 8th Grade football team on this week’s schedule because this week’s game is being played at CLHS and this group of players has been on fire this season. A good time to come out to the Hawk Nest and see the future of Canyon Lake’s Football team.

These game do start a tad earlier with a first game kick-off commencing at 4:45pm and then that next game 10 minutes later.

Bow Hunt the Bulldogs, Go Hawks!

The ReSporter had an article last week involving one of MVMS 8th Grade games and will have a full blown coverage this week with stats and the whole enchilada.

Both of CL’s Sub-Varsity teams will be in action on Thursday at home against Fredericksburg.

This year’s Freshman squad has had the most convoluted schedule this season with Thursday contest being the first home game. This team has had a successful year and if you are interested in seeing another good group of players then a date to the Hawk Nest would be fun and checking out some more future players.

Both of the Sub-Varsity teams are undefeated in District 14-4A Division I and will want their stands full in support and a chance to see a group that has not had many home dates this season.

Canyon Lake’s Varsity will be on the road and traveling about 90 minutes to Fredericksburg. An undefeated Hawk club that will be needing a win to keep atop the district standings with Liberty Hill.

A good following would be a great way of showing support for a Hawk team that has never gone this long into a season without a loss.

Unless you are tired of Winning then the short trip to Freddie Land would go a long way in showing support for these players.

The ReSporter is not tired of Winning but if you are not able to attend then catch the game on the Link on this Site and have your phone ready to win some prizes and hear another prize and a team that will hopefully stand 8-0 after the evening concludes.

Go Hawks and Beat the Billies!!
