As the end of this year’s sports starts drawing to a close, this week will have some whoppers to keep those juices flowing.
First up will be CL’s Softball team that finished out of the running for a post-season chance and will be saying good-bye to Bailey Bryan who is the only Senior for this year’s team. The Hawks will be in Bandera on Tuesday to see if they can finish on a winning note in playing the Bulldogs.
Track & Field will be at Liberty Hill in the Area Meet for a chance to qualify for Region in two weeks. The Boys and Girls finished with some high marks in their district meet and now have a Monday Meet for another round of competition.
Baseball spit last weeks games and continue their 2nd round of games when they travel to Wimberley on Tuesday and then welcome Llano to the Hawk Nest. This team is playing good as the season comes around the final curve.
Another split or sweep would go a long way for this Baseball team to go for more playoff action.
Boy’s Soccer is in another stratosphere and will represent the Canyon Lake community and school in Georgetown with Semi-Final contest against Midlothian Heritage with a 630pm start time. The ReSporter is calling on all the readers of this site to make the short trip and help this exciting team to continue this trek.
No Hawk Team has been this far and CL has won 5 playoff games with hopes to increase that number up to 7 by finishing their season on a Good Friday with a win. That Championship game will start at 2:30pm and a packed house would be a super way to help get the Hawks to the promise land.
The ReSporter would like to mention that no matter how the games finish this week, that on Sunday the Biggest Victory was accomplished when Jesus was Raised from the dead in order to pay for everyone’s sins.
That accomplishment was done with clarity and death has no sting left for those who place their hopes and life to Him.
Congrats Hawks and Thank-you Jesus for the ultimate victory.
