                    Let’s Go Hawks!!

Canyon Lake will be having a busy week with the start of the Playoffs in Volleyball and CL’s Football teams finishing their final week of games.

The Lady Hawks will be in action this Tuesday when they will travel to Georgetown High School and take on the 2nd Seeded in District 27-4A’s Salado Eagles.

CL’s Volleyball clinched the 3rd seed last Tuesday when they disposed of Bandera with a win that locked up that playoff spot.

The Lake played Salado during the first part of this season and beat the Eagles, 2-0 in those best out of 3 matches played during tournament times. With a win, Canyon Lake will have their next battle later this week and that team and time will be added to, This Week page, or you can read the write-up from this Tuesday’s result.

Football will be in action starting on Wednesday when CL’s Gold team will have their final game at home against Georgetown. This year, CL had enough players that enabled them to form another team called the Gold Team and this year they had a 10 game season.

That full season turned out to be more than the other Sub-Varsity teams would have after a rain out in Fredericksburg.

This group of players will be in action for their last tilt this Wednesday at home against Georgetown. With a win Canyon Lake Gold will finish with a 7-3 record.

On that same note, CL’s Freshman and JV teams will finish on the road in Liberty Hill on Thursday. The Freshman will have a chance to win their 3rd Championship in a row after sweeping their two season’s at Mountain Valley Middle School.

North Shore UMC says Go Hawks!

The Varsity have a place at the Playoff Table and if they can pull off a win over Liberty Hill on Senior Night at the Hawk Nest, then they will finish district season with a 3rd seed. Lampasas and Fredericksburg will battle it out for the District 28-4A Title.

There have been weeks with more games, but this week there are several games that have a much heightened stake.

If you can make a game then come and make your presence known and root Canyon Lake to victories.

The Hawk Basketball team will have their first scrimmage on Saturday as the round ball action gets going this week.

And Go Hawks!!!
