Let’s Go Hawks
It has been a few weeks since the Hawks have had more than 2 sports taking part in action and with the addition of both Boys-Girls Soccer the table has been set with two more seats as seen above.
The Boys Soccer have fashioned a 3-2-1 record and suffered a 2-1 loss to Gonzales in their tournament this past weekend. That is a good finish considering the Seniors that were lost after last year’s Final Four finish.
The Girls Soccer will be in Katy for their Tournament this Week-end for a chance to work on their game against some larger schools.
Basketball has been doing decent during the Christmas break as the Girls will go into this week with a 16-4 record and will welcome their last non-district opponent on Monday in San Antonio Lutheran. This will be the third game with this team and both have a win. That will give this rubber match a different flavor in wanting to turn the tables as the Lutheran Ladies pulled off the win in last week’s tournament.
CL’s Ladies will start their district schedule on the road in Fredericksburg and this will be a much tougher school for achieving a win. The Billies have fashioned a 12-7 record with a tougher schedule than the Hawks have played and now the proof will be how this short-handed Canyon Lake team can handle this environment.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
On the Boy’s side, The Lake has won 7 of their last 8 contests and a game against Lampasas will come about this Thursday on the road. Canyon Lake will then break from action before going on the road to Bandera to open this year’s District 27-4A schedule.
Canyon Lake finished the month of December with a 9-7 record as they have finally reached above .500 ball (11-10) after taking care of Comfort last week.
The games will start counting and a chance in making the playoffs once again.
