The Lady Hawks qualified for the playoffs with their game commencing around 8pm this Tuesday and that time needs to have an asterisk as the game will be the 2nd of the night after following another playoff tilt between two other schools.
Canyon Lake will be up against Liberty Hill and go into this battle as the 4th seed and an uphill battle for sure. Late start and you never know those outcomes as this Senior Class will try to continue their season.
The CL Boy’s Basketball will finish their regular season in Wimberley on Tuesday and a win will give an automatic bid for more games. If The Lake loses and Bandera beats Llano, then a play-in contest with the Bulldogs would be on the docket for later this week.
This too will have the winner with a Bi-District game against Liberty Hill.
Track & Field will end the week with an all-day event at the Hawk Nest where up to 16 teams will be competing. Should be a good day to enjoy some great events as Track season blooms in joining all those other Spring Sports.
Soccer had both Boys and Girls with a loss in Boerne. The Boys team lost a heart-breaker, 1-0 to the Greyhounds while the Ladies could not get off the mat after a, 10-0 evening.
Softball starts up their regular season on Thursday in a tough tournament in New Braunfels and Steele area. A good test to see what this group can accomplish against some 5A/6A schools.
Baseball will enter their final week of scrimmages with a Monday trip to Burnet and a road game in Lockhart on Friday.
Hawk Golf will have the Ladies in Bandera on Tuesday and Boys the next day.
Canyon Lake’s Tennis team will be back in San Marcos with a tournament on Friday morning start. Last week, the Hawk Tennis team has several Junior Varsity matches won including the girls singles and doubles…but rain had the last say after a rain-out in the afternoon.
Hopefully this Friday will have better weather for those soggy tennis balls.
Lots on the menu, grab a bite and help support our high school students as the compete in an array of venues and sports.
GO HAWKS!!
