Volleyball: Hawks Sweep Somerset, 25-11, 25-15, 27-25
The Hawks got back on track in sweep of Somerset, 25-11, 25-15, 27-25.
“This was a great game for us to work on a quicker offense and be more vocal on opponents tactics,” Head Coach Kim Clemons started. “We spot served well. Hannah Harrison did a great job stepping up and playing out of her comfort zone in the outside hitter (OH) position.”
Canyon Lake has been playing short handed for 3 games now and players are needed to help fill holes and keep the team competitive. Harrison was able to get 6 kills in helping in this win.
“Olivia (Robinson) passed great in serve receive and put away several points for us,” Coach Clemons continued. “Overall, it was a good night for everyone to get reps.”
That is certainly a key as those district battles start creeping closer leaving fewer games to work on refining those changes due to so many missing parts to the Hawk team.
One good thing comes from these contests is expanding the roster that should help Coach Clemons to interchange her substituting in game action.
The Hawks took those first two sets with ease and had to fight more in that sweep set as Coach worked on different players being put into game action.
Your Hawks will be in Blanco this Friday and next home game against Cuero on Tuesday, September 8th.
Way to Go Hawks!!
