Boy’s Basketball Hawks Cold as Ice in Loss to Burnet, 60-32
Hawks are still a work in progress after set back at Burnet.
A dismal day in Burnet with a closed rim that allowed the Hawks to score 6 points in second half losing, 60-32.

Canyon Lake shot 8% from the floor with one make from outside the 3-point line and one make inside that arc.
During the 3rd quarter, CL had 17 shots and 14 of those were from beyond the arc. In other words the Hawks were 0fer and proved they are not afraid of shooting from a different zip code.
In this case the mail was not delivered and the Hawks left the gym holding an empty bag of chips.
A few bright spots was seeing newcomer Drake Dershimer amass 3 block shots while being the leading scorer with 6 points.
Tyler Pauly was able to find 4 assists which was hard when the Hawk’s were shooting empty blanks.
The Bulldogs feasted in the paint by outscoring Canyon Lake, 42-10 and game set match.
The Hawks will be back in action at home when the Llano Yellowjackets come calling with the Sub-Varsity tipping it off at 5pm with the Varsity to follow.
