                  Way to Go Hawks!!

Canyon Lake had an early bye week and was able to not fall into their Fair Day funk that has been a problem in those past seasons.

Last week continued to show a dominant Austin LBJ team as the Jaguars ran their season to a perfect, 5-0 record. The next closest school is two games back which has this Austin school also boasting the best non-district schedule in District 13-4A Division I with wins over Liberty Hill and Waco La Vega.

Burnet was able to secure their first win over Robinson and will have a chance to run their streak to 2 wins when they face Jarrell as a fill in game. The Bulldogs had to cancel an earlier contest with Boerne and this contest was scheduled recently.

Taylor was humbled by an excellent slot-t Salado team and had a 53 point set-back during a season that already has the Ducks with 3 more wins that they acquired last year.

Fredericksburg was on the short end against Boerne and will take this week off in hopes of finding that first of the year magic enjoyed earlier.

Lampasas got back into the win column over Gatesville as the Badgers continued to amass offensive yardage. The main weakness for the Lamps will be a defense that is giving up 39 points per outing.

Another stat that is hard to compare but The Lake has faced opponents that have compiled a 13-6 record. LBJ (15-9). Lampasas (19-6), and Burnet (10-9) have all played teams that have played schools with an above .500 average when combining their records.

Taylor (9-16) and Fredericksburg (9-15) are the only two teams that have not done as well in their season. Take that with a grain of salt.

All the team stats are below so the Hawk Nation can see how each team is handling their season as district play will begin after this weekend.

As Always….Go Hawks!!
