District 13-4A Div. I Standings & Recap

After another week of District 13-4A Div. I action there are two schools that have a record all to themselves.

                 Let’s GO HAWKS!!

Canyon Lake with an unblemished, 3-0 statement and then on the bottom side of the standings has Marble Falls still looking for a win.

In the middle there are 4 schools with a 2nd place tie for Davenport and Lampasas and a 4th place pairing of Burnet and Taylor.

That Wolve and Badger tie favors Davenport based on that win over Lampasas if both schools are tied after the final two games are finished.

Burnet and Taylor has not played and both will be facing an uphill battle this week with the Bulldogs pitted against an offensive machine and Taylor going up against the best defense in the district at this writing.

The Ducks separated themselves from Marble Falls in their win on Friday which will pretty much eliminate the Falls from a playoff spot. That is based on having two of the top 3 teams still on their schedule which puts the handwriting on that proverbial wall.

                             GO HAWKS!!

That 4th seed could be decided during that final week when Burnet and Taylor meet for a winner take all contest. Of, course that projection is based on where all the schools stand at this time.

Davenport’s offense continues to churn out impressive stats after spanking the Badgers who happened to have a 400 yard passing game against those Wolves. Which still gives you the major issue for Davenport coming on the defensive side of the ledger.

Two games remaining for district and a Hawk win against Taylor would give the Hawks a tie-breaker in case there is a tie with Davy Port. However if that loss comes against Lampasas all chaos would ensue with 3 teams that would finish with one loss and coin flips galore for all involved.

History does not smile on The Lake in those situations as that usually means whatever that worse case might be….Canyon Lake….would be that school looking up.
