Many prognosticators would have had Canyon Lake sitting with this exact record (1-2) going into their 4th week of action.

                    Let’s Go Hawks!!

The Hawks have one of the toughest schedules in District 13-4A as your Hawks will be on the road this Friday in San Antonio playing another 5A school: Veterans Memorial.

So, have a losing record is not a down side based on the tough opponents and losing so many to graduation.

The Patriots will continue this same script for The Lake as they continue to play schools that are larger hence with an advantage called depth.

Canyon Lake has been decimated thus far with a MASH unit in street clothes on the sidelines as this season continues to have more players coming up from the Junior Varsity and a next man up mentality.

Veterans will come into this week’s game sporting a, 2-1 record and a lot of speed to show for it.

Another chance to continue seeing more Hawk players gain Varsity experience.

As the district showed last week, Lampasas might be the team to beat as they were the only team that came out with a win for District 13-4A schools. While Marble Falls continues to have the distinction in waiting to forge their first victory.

Looking as this week’s slew of games has the Mustangs in another tough climb against Kerrville while the Badgers will be a favorite in their contest with Pflugerville Connally.

Burnet’s started their game with Brownwood on the right foot but their shoe laces got tangled up as that game continued with The Wood scoring 24 unanswered points and 14 point win.

Time for some Ice Cream HAWKS!!

Davenport was on the short end once again playing SA Pieper who surprised the Wolves with a 3 point win.

The Taylor Ducks had a disappointing game with Robinson, a lower classification school coming up 4 points to the bad, 28-24.

Canyon Lake has certainly played the toughest schedule thus far but that that has seen more injuries than you would like when depth not being a strength.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
