Canyon Lake will start their district slate this Friday in Marble Falls as these two slot-t schools have a shared, 1-4 record entering this next phase of their 2023 season.

The Mustangs took care of Fredericksburg in their last game which happens to be the same team that your Hawks have beaten for their lone win.

This game will come down to the school that can stop their counterpart’s offense as two slot-t games seem to be quicker battles for obvious reasons.

The Lake has a perfect 3-0 record against MFalls but this game will be a huge hurdle for the visitors as CL has surrendered a whopping 50.6 points per outing and even gave up 43 points to the Billies who were held to 9 points in their loss to the Mustangs.

                        Let’s Go Hawks!!

On the flip-side, CLHS has a 27 points average while MFHS has an 11 point per game showing. Both schools have a decent set of teams played which should give an indication that this showdown might go down to the wire.

In other district first round outings, Lampasas will welcome Burnet to their home turf and an eye test for this game will give the Lamps an advantage based on how well they played Wimberley (which was their only loss) as the Texans gave your Hawks a whipping that is still a sore spot on their feathers.

Davenport has been an enigma thus far but should handle Taylor on the road. These Wolves are averaging 41 points and shut-out Devine to end their non-district schedule. These Ducks’ schedule was not as tough which should result in Davy a coming out on top.

Go Hawks & Beat the Mustangs!!

Canyon Lake will hope that some of those walking wounded players will be able to return as their depth is not deep and the more players the better chance for pulling off a win.
