BCS Boys and Girls Finish 4th in TAPPS District 3-2A Track Meet
The Bracken Warriors have several athletes that will be on their way to Regional
Head Track Coach Terri Sanders Readies BCS for Regional Meet
Track Meet next week as both the Girls and Boys team finished in fourth place.
The Meet was held in Vandergriff Stadium in Austin last week.
Bracken will be taking six boys and eight girls to Hallettsville while competing in 14 different events.
Katy Wilmotte finished second in the 1600 Meter Run and first in the 3200 Meter Run, helping the Bracken Girls with 18 points.
All three relay teams will run another day.
The 4×200 meter relay team finished first with a 1:55.57 run, almost three seconds better than their season best.
The foursome of Sierra Rayl, Kimmie Burbank, Hannah Moore, and Karagan Day pulled off the feat. All three Relays pulled in 44 points for BCS and all three events will be running next week.
Grady Achilles finished first in the 100 and 200 meter runs.
Barrett Corey will also run another day as he finished third and second in the 1600 and 3200 meter run respectfully.
BCS had a first in the 4×100 Relay team with Kevin Knapick, Austin Wilkinson, Grady Achilles, and Eli Achilles. Their time of 45.64 was good enough to punch their ticket in the Regional Meet.
Mr. Knapick also was a first place finisher throwing the Discus for 115 feet and two inches.
Another Regional qualifier was Jacob Richardson in the 100 Meter Hurdle when he finished in third place with a time of 18.70 for the event.
Many readers need to realize that BCS does not have an actual track, which will help in understanding the difficulties in training each day.
The Blue color below represents athletes and events that will continue next week.
