BCS is on Fire with Win over OLH, 60-44
Bracken Christian Warriors avoided a trap game in their contest with Kerrville OLH pulling out a win, 60-44.
“This was a good win,” Head Coach Lloyd Fields said. “This will assure us of a second place finish in District and a possible first round playoff with Sugarland Logos Prep.
Noah Boriack scored six times and rushed for 316 yards in the win as this Warrior also decided to intercept two passes for the icing on the cake.
“This game was Boriack’s best game at Bracken,” Coach Fields continued. “Of course he had a break out game running but his two interceptions was also a testament of his good game. At halftime I thought this game would have over 80 points scored in it.”
Rushing for over 300 yards is a very small fraternity as Boriack now joins a couple of Achilles’ brothers.

You might notice that Kerrville OLH is a recipient in four of those games above. Also, these games also required a full game to amass. Grady Achilles game with only 15 carries is the only exception on that Mercy game.
BCS started on fire in this game as the Warriors were successful on their first 8 drives in this game.
Preston Koch ignited this fire with a first play 60 yard run as Kerrville could only match the scoring throughout the evening.

This game was keep away for Bracken as they would not let the Hawks get any closer than two points while with each drive the Warriors increased their lead water drop by water drop. (Chinese water torture)
Sam Hilgendorf also had a decent game as a defensive back as he had several tackles and pass break-ups.
OLH was a passing machine as they had 34 of their 45 total plays passing the ball. Some of those running plays were a result of a spread back not having anyone open to throw too and running for his life.
Bracken Christian abandoned the pass play in this game, chunking the ball only three times.
BCS now has two more games to brush up on their game and get this team in playoff mode.
Coy Zunker was injured in this game and that was a big loss, so finding a replacement will be paramount for Coach Fields.
Game Notes:
**Noah Boriack has now rushed for 1,276 joining Grady and Eli Achilles as the only players to break 1,000 yards rushing in a season.
**Preston Koch rushed for 124 yards which moves him to within 150 yards needed to break that same 1,000 yard barrier for a season. Koch will have at least three games to get that mark.
**Bracken has two active players with 1,000 yards or more for their career in Koch (1,388 and Boriack 1,276)
**The 35 yards of rushing for OLH ranks 15th defensively.
**The 312 yards passing for OLH has only two teams with more, Geneva 327 yds and Austin Hill Country 319 yds.
**The 537 yards of total offense ranks 6th in Bracken history.
**The 504 yards rushing ranks second behind the Gustine game played last season 514 yards.
**52 rushing plays is the most recorded in Bracken’s history.
**BCS has 2431 yards rushing this year for an average of 303.9 yards per game.
**Bracken has 11 Interceptions for 2013 and needs one more to rank 2nd behind 18 Interceptions for the 2012 season.
