Girls Soccer: Hawks Blank Seguin, 7-0
Canyon Lake Girls Soccer won a game that keeps them in a playoff hunt with a 7-0 win over
Seguin.
Seguin is not a soccer power but by being in the same district with Canyon Lake a win on the road gives the Hawks a chance of getting into the playoffs if they can take care of business with Wimberley this season.
Christie Fowler had her way with the Matadors with four goals. Fowler was joined with Chloe, Gomez, and Panek who each scored one goal a piece.
Other good points in this win, “Tiffany Laurent had several first half saves and stopped a penalty kick,” Head Coach Erich Robinson said. “Jillian Schley was in her first district appearance and ended the second half with no scores on goal.”
Fowler had a hat trick a few games ago and The ReSporter does not know if their is a name for an athlete that has four goals in a game.
Canyon Lake will now finish their four game road streak with Dripping Springs this Friday. The Hawks will finish this season with a four game home streak and then their final stint at Wimberley to end this season.
